About The Position

The Analyst I prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOP’s. The position involves performing routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. This includes preparation of samples, performing chemical analysis, calculating data, recording and reporting data, and performing routine instrument maintenance. The role requires the ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation and works under close supervision using routine and standard methods. The Analyst I will aliquot and weigh samples, wash glassware, and conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner. The position is full-time, 2nd shift, Tuesday - Friday 2pm-11pm and Saturday 9am-3pm.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for degree.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

  • Able to follow and learn appropriate protocols in one or more of the following disciplines: Organic preparation, Metals preparation and analysis, Gas Chromatography, Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry, Radio Chemistry, Wet Chemistry, High Resolution preparation and analysis, Low Resolution preparation and analysis
  • Laboratory experience is a plus
  • Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)
  • ICP-OES and ICP-MS experience

  • Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.
