Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Laboratory Science
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Ability to perform laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Able to work well independently and within a team environment
  • Good math skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to obtain government clearance upon hire, including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing on natural and synthetic minerals from internal and external sources using physical and chemical test procedures.
  • Assist in sample logging.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Laboratory Manager.
  • Work closely with production and research as well as other team members.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of analysis.
  • Perform calibration of equipment.
  • Maintain instruments.
  • Use instrumental analysis and wet chemistry methods as directed by the Laboratory Manager.
  • Work collaboratively in a manufacturing setting with other Laboratory team members.
