About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Laboratory Analyst - Chemistry to join their Professional Service Industries (PSI) team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is within Intertek's Building and Construction division, which focuses on innovative product and project solutions across architecture, engineering, and construction disciplines. Intertek's PSI services include construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. The company's purpose is to bring quality, safety, and sustainability to life, acting as a Total Quality Assurance Provider to industries worldwide.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in science related field (Chemistry strongly preferred)
• At least 1 year of laboratory experience outside of an academic setting
• Instrumentation experience
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required

Nice To Haves

• Laboratory experience in Environmental Chemistry
• Flame AA and/or ICP experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process samples
• Sample analysis (including the use of a Flame AA)
• Generate and review lab reports
• Utilize a LIMS system
• Perform QC/QA activities
• Instrument maintenance, calibration, and preliminary troubleshooting
• Follow industry standards (ASTM, EPA, etc) and SOPs
• Adhere to and support an ISO 17025 quality system
