We’re seeking a motivated Laboratory Analyst II to support our environmental laboratory located in Conroe, TX. This is an exciting opportunity for a laboratory professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys hands-on analytical testing, laboratory instrumentation, and producing accurate, high-quality data in support of environmental compliance and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and motivated by supporting daily laboratory operations, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science field required; equivalent combination of education and relevant lab experience may be considered
  • 1-2 years of professional hands-on analytical laboratory experience
  • Demonstrated experience operating, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Perform sample preparation and routine analysis, and QA/QC testing in accordance with EPA methods, SOPs, and regulatory standards
  • Review and evaluate analytical data for accuracy and compliance, reporting and escalating discrepancies as appropriate
  • Accurately document laboratory activities and enter data into LIMS systems
  • Perform analytical calculations and generate technical reports to support laboratory operations and client deliverables
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment
  • Support quality assurance initiatives, audits, corrective actions, and SOP revisions
  • Maintain laboratory organization, inventory, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with laboratory staff, management, and clients to meet project timelines and workload demands
  • Provide customer and client support, including sample intake, phone communication, and front-desk assistance when required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
