About The Position

As a Laboratory Analyst I, you play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of products manufactured at our production site laboratory. You conduct chemical and physical analyses that directly support product release, in-process control, and stability testing, helping to safeguard both our operations and our customers. In this role, you also support operations through activities such as computer system validation, method validation, raw data control and archiving, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with three years of laboratory experience
  • Willingness and ability to work during days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine analytical testing in the quality laboratory, providing accurate and timely data for process control, quality control, and process development in accordance with protocols and work instructions.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed; proactively request additional work to increase team productivity and support business needs.
  • Prepare solutions, clean glassware, dispose of solid and liquid waste, and perform other activities that support the overall operation, safety, and housekeeping of the laboratory.
  • Alert lab leadership to issues involving sample integrity, supply inventory, safety concerns, or analysis irregularities; communicate troubleshooting opportunities and operational issues with laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Operate and understand Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), and other instrument-specific computer systems; search databases for test methods, specifications, and standards needed to complete analyses.
  • Promptly and accurately calculate, record, review, and report analytical results, including the use of LIMS reports; communicate and discuss any issues with team members, supervisors, and customers as required.
  • Conduct basic preventive maintenance according to work instructions; identify and communicate operational issues of laboratory instruments and equipment and support continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, assist in improving established procedures, and participate in lab/site safety programs, cross-site initiatives, and compliance with RCRA hazardous waste regulations, including proper waste determinations, labeling, inspection, and communication of spills and leaks.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other lab analysts, chemists, support personnel, management, plant operators, engineers, and their functional leaders to optimize productivity, prioritization, and customer focus.
  • Notify leads when supplies and consumables reach critical levels to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
