About The Position

As a Fulltime Analyst I based in our Orange, CA Laboratory, you'll play key role in bringing analytical data to life. From preparing samples to operating advanced instrumentation, your work helps ensure high-quality, reliable results that meet rigorous standards. You'll collaborate with a strong team of committed professionals, contribute to meaningful scientific work, and grow your expertise in a dynamic, quality-driven environment. The compensation range for this role is $22 to $30, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Department: Semi-Volatiles (SVOA) Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation and data generation preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and data integrity practices
  • Working knowledge of SOP-driven laboratory environments
  • Proficiency with LIMS and basic data systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working with solvents, acids, and laboratory instrumentation

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an environmental or regulated analytical laboratory
  • Familiarity with SVOA analytical methods (e.g., 8015, 8081,8082, 608, 8270,625)
  • Experience operating GC or GC/MS instrumentation
  • Understanding of QA/QC concepts and first-level data review practices
  • Experience working within SOP-driven and compliance-focused environments
  • Ability to identify atypical results and escalate appropriately
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple batches while meeting turnaround time expectations
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision once trained

Responsibilities

  • Operate analytical instrumentation and execute assigned SVOA batches according to SOPs
  • Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and calibration solutions for analysis
  • Perform first-level data review to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Execute analytical methods accurately while meeting turnaround time expectations
  • Maintain instrument readiness through routine checks, verifications, and documentation
  • Document deviations, observations, and nonconformances in accordance with QA requirements
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and data entry within LIMS
  • Communicate analytical issues or atypical results to senior analysts or group leadership
  • Comply with Quality Assurance Program and Health & Safety Plan
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
