About The Position

Dominion Energy is seeking a Labor Relations Specialist or Senior Labor Relations Specialist to support and administer the organization’s labor relations programs. This role serves as a key resource to management, employees, and labor representatives, applying knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and employee relations best practices to manage daily labor relations activities and complex issues. The position offers a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking).

Requirements

  • Labor Relations Specialist: 2-3+ years of related experience in labor relations, human resources or related field. A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more experience will be rounded up to one year.
  • Senior Labor Relations Specialist: 5+ years of related experience in labor relations, human resources or related field. A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more experience will be rounded up to one year.
  • Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge in project management, analysis or investigations skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to establish constructive working relationships internally
  • Ability to establish constructive working relationships with union leaders
  • Advanced knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining principles (for Senior role)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining principles (strongly preferred for Specialist role)

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to arbitration preparation, investigations, and dispute resolution while supporting constructive labor–management relationships across union and non-union facilities.
  • Participates in collective bargaining processes, interprets and applies contract provisions, monitors compliance, and manages grievance and disciplinary matters through resolution.
  • Leverages working knowledge of employment legislation, labor agreements, and best practices in labor relations.
