About The Position

The Labor Foreman performs basic installation of materials on a construction site. The role coordinates and oversees crew tasks, schedules, resources, safety, and quality, and reports progress to the Superintendent.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth understanding of construction principles and procedures.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate and report effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in a high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• OSHA 10-hour certification; assistance with obtaining certification is available if necessary.
• Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test if offered a position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
• Produce schedules and monitor crew attendance.
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
• Supervise and train workers.
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
• Ensure safety precautions and quality standards are met.
• Resolve problems when they arise.
• Report on progress to the Superintendent.
