About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Labor & Employment Counsel with 6+ years of experience to join our Los Angeles team. You’ll be a member of our consistently ranked and nationally recognized Labor & Employment practice group. As a Counsel in the Labor & Employment Department, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys.

Requirements

6+ years of plaintiff-side labor and employment litigation defense experience, ideally working on wage and hour laws, terminations, layoffs, workplace violence prevention, internal investigation procedure, and developments in California law.
Top law firm experience.
Intellectual curiosity, a willingness to think outside the box, and a knack for finding practical solutions to complex problems.
Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills and strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Must be licensed and admitted to practice in the State of California.

Nice To Haves

Experience working on wage and hour laws, terminations, layoffs, workplace violence prevention, internal investigation procedure, and developments in California law.

Responsibilities

Work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys.
Reviewing, updating, and maintaining employee handbooks, as well as a variety of standalone employment policies and agreements.
Take responsibility for routine and increasingly complex matters with minimal supervision.
