About The Position

The Seasonal Registered Nurse provides safe patient care in the Birthplace using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of care. The role requires responding quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment and providing a safe environment for patients and visitors. The RN uses the chain of command when necessary to support patient well-being and appropriate care for newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.

This is a 12-week seasonal temporary contract ending in mid-February, with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, Texas. The listed rate is $75.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current certification.
• ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current certification.
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current certification.
• Basic Fetal Monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current certification.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred.
• STABLE preferred.
