About The Position

The position involves working in a dynamic Labor and Delivery unit, providing care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The unit emphasizes family-centered care and supports both antepartum and couplet care approaches.

Requirements

• Current nursing license in the state of practice.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout the process.
• Perform necessary assessments and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Assist in postpartum care, including assessment and management of newborns in couplet care settings.
