About The Position

The Labeling Technician I will engage in proper labeling of specimen collection containers (e.g. test material containers, fluid collection tubes, cassettes, cage cards, etc.). This position is responsible for understanding protocol and SOP requirements as they pertain to labeling and must possess basic computer literacy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office core applications and the ability to learn and use additional applications required.
• Self-starter, able to prioritize work and function efficiently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multitask and manage several independent projects within the expected job role

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree preferred.
• Basic understanding of laboratory operations and the importance of comprehensive data collection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create labels for specimen collection containers using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or other appropriate means.
• Manage labeling change requests
• Verify specimen container labels to the work schedule and document as needed per protocol and standard operating procedures (SOP) using good laboratory practices (GLP).
• Manage multiple concurrent deadlines
• Operate labeling equipment and perform routine maintenance, as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized laboratory spaces and equipment.
• Work cross-functionally to identify and resolve labeling inconsistencies
• Other duties as assigned
