Labeler - Night Shift
About The Position
This position is responsible for ensuring product labels meet production schedule specifications, managing label materials, and verifying all product labeling is correct with customer orders. The role involves loading labels into the machine, recording information from label boxes, and ensuring labels match the code on the can. The Labeler will also adjust the machine for label alignment and glue adhesion, perform changeovers, maintain machine speeds, and record downtime. Additionally, the position requires active participation as a member of the Team, contributing to ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. This includes fostering cohesiveness, identifying and resolving issues, and supporting the larger organization's goals. The role also involves understanding and supporting Simmons' operating systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies) and communicating concerns or improvement ideas. The Labeler will perform other duties as necessary to support business objectives. The job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for an entire shift, and use grasping motions with hands. Personal Protective Equipment includes Steel Toe Shoes and Hearing Protection. No travel is required.
