About The Position

Produces customer-specific retail labels for a variety of product lines. This role involves reviewing work orders, entering data into the AS400 system, printing labels, monitoring print jobs, and ensuring order accuracy and timeliness. The position requires maintaining an inventory of blank labels and staying current with department procedures and company products. Employees are also expected to participate in safety and health program activities.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience operating industrial equipment such as a cherry picker, reach and forklift.
• Basic computer skills: Ability to learn and use in-house software applications.
• Able to type 25 WPM.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Reviews work orders to determine required labels and contacts appropriate employees for clarification.
• Enters SKU numbers and pricing into the AS400 system.
• Prints labels and monitors print jobs.
• Loads paper and troubleshoots machine problems.
• Checks completed labels to verify the accuracy of information.
• Ensures that orders are processed within established deadlines.
• Maintains an inventory of blank labels.
• Maintains a current knowledge of department operating procedures and company products.
• Participates in safety and health program activities, including reporting hazards and incidents, wearing required PPE, and supporting safety committee activities.
