About The Position

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Label Manufacturing Manager in our Flexo department to join our team in Greensboro, NC. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe work environment, fostering a culture of safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement within the Label department. You will collaborate with various managers and teams to ensure production, quality, and material planning targets are met, while also supporting product development initiatives.

Requirements

  • A degree in a related field (Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent of related work experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Experience with business related software as well as pre-press related software.
  • Experience managing a department as well as a team.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical printing or the packaging industry.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment that engages employees in safe work practices, identifies and manages risk, and meets regulatory requirements.
  • Develop a culture of safety compliance through training, reinforcement of risk management practices, and continuous observation and correction.
  • Audit processes to ensure that the manufacturing discipline is adhering to production and quality procedures and practices.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain a continuous improvement program for the Label department that meets or exceeds facility improvement targets.
  • Provide coaching, training, and resources to enable successful performance.
  • Sustain and improve the employee training program to ensure that all employees have the support to efficiently gain the skills required to be successful.
  • Collaborate and support the activities of the Quality Manager in the establishment of quality management procedures, specification, and continuous improvement quality activities.
  • Coordinate with and support the activities of the Materials and Production Planning Manager in developing production plans, schedules, and controlling materials.
  • Attend production meetings and present on the success/failures/challenges/opportunities of the process and employees in the Label Department.
  • Coordinate with the commercial team on assigned projects to assist in product development.
