About The Position

This role will be on 1st shift Back End, Wed 9:30a-6p, Thursday-Saturday 8AM-7:30PM. The Label Machine Operator operates label machines properly and efficiently to meet production deadlines according to the daily job schedule. This includes minimizing waste or misuse of raw materials, communicating production issues with the Production Supervisor and/or Facility Manager, and performing distribution functions as needed. The operator will keep accurate logs of raw materials used, including date and ID number of cartons to maintain FIFO inventory and identify QC problems. They will use the ERP system to log time and materials for each job and are responsible for the maintenance of all dies. A clean, organized, and safe work area must be maintained, using required PPE and following all safety rules and procedures. Overtime or working on another shift may be required. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position, as is compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug-free workplace and all other Company policies, including safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Stands 2/3 to full time on the shift daily.
Uses hands and fingers to handle, and feel 1/3 to 2/3 of the shift daily.
Reaches with hands and arms 1/3 to 2/3 of the shift daily.
Lifts 50 pounds 1/3 to 2/3 of the shift daily.
Requires close vision (clear vision at 20-inches or less).
Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must have one to two years related experience and/or training.
Must have strong mechanical skills to analyze and operate label machine equipment.
Ability to embody and reflect company’s core values.

Responsibilities
