About The Position

The Label Coordinator ensures the correct label is ALWAYS properly applied to the corresponding bag and follows the labeling schedule for the current Packaging Plan. This role is crucial for ensuring properly labeled bags are available when needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient with basic computer skills and printers
  • Excellent reading and comprehension skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to teach and train others
  • Must be willing to work mandatory overtime, weekends and different shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain the current labelling plan from Shift Leader, including labeling sequence, bag type, label type, and special stickers.
  • Assign Label Operators to workstations and record their Name, Date, and time on the Sticker Verification Log Form.
  • Verify that the workstation is clear of any bags and/or labels before assigning it to a label operator.
  • Hand over a defined number of bags and matching labels to each table and record the number of unstickered bags into the Sticker Verification Log.
  • Verify the accuracy of the job by checking that all assigned bags have been properly labeled after the Label Operator completes their task.
  • Record the final number of labeled bags and move all labeled bags to the dedicated and previously positioned pallet.
  • Hand over additional bags and corresponding labels to be applied next and record the number and type on the Sticker Verification Log form.
  • Ensure that at any time no cell phones or any other potential source of distractions are present at the work stations.
  • Once the scheduled amount of bags has been labelled and placed on a pallet, place a note on the pallet indicating label code, quantity, and physical inventory location.
  • If, at the end of the run, any bags remaining will be brought back to the Label Coordinator for placement into the correct box.
  • Communicate with the forklift operator to promptly put the box back to the correct shelf location.
  • Ensure that, at any given time, only the boxes being used are present on the floor.
  • Ensure Label Operators do not retrieve their own bags and/or stickers.
