About The Position
This job is only available to students who qualify for Work-Study. The lab assistant will support the Curley lab in experimentation, maintenance, and scientific writing and presentation. The position is located in Butterfield Hall and the supervisor is Prof Stephanie Curley. Hours are days (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) with a pay rate of $9.70/hr. There is one position available.
Requirements
- Experience in biomedical sciences and engineering
- Strong organizational skills
- Adaptability and accountability
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of lab
- Conduct experiments both independently and with faculty advisor
- Follow lab safety protocols and guidelines (bacteria and proteins are regularly handled)
- Data analysis and verification of proteins
