Requirements

  • Associate degree in related field or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years laboratory experience or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of tests and analyses for investigation and evaluation of materials, processes, products, or failures basic to Moog Inc. product reliability.
  • Maintain laboratory notebook documenting all experiments or technical activities along with maintaining online records.
  • Accurately interpret analytical results.
  • Develop and document new analytical results procedures.
  • Successfully perform analyses from established and new procedures using each of the following: Metallography, Polishing equipment, Microphotography, Balances, Wet chemical apparatus, Microhardness tester, Universal testing machine, Electrical test equipment, Precision measuring equipment, Gas chromatograph, Scanning electron microscope, Energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer, FTIR spectrometer, Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), Humidity Testing
  • Assist in training / cross-training of others.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to retain confidential information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
