About The Position

Lab Technologist is responsible for performing a wide variety of laboratory tasks and production processes. This includes operating and troubleshooting HPLCs, DNA Synthesizers, LC/MS, liquid handling robots, and UV/Vis Spectrometry. Works on assignments that are routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
1+ year of laboratory experience

Organizing work and resources efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
Ability to cooperate with others at all levels including leadership.

Skilled in MS Office tools to include but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel — Basic: demonstrates fundamental awareness and can perform routine tasks with guidance.
Proficient in math, specifically unit conversions.
Good oral/written communication, pipetting/liquid handling of multiple volumes.
Maintain attention to detail for extended periods of time.
Execute repetitive tasks and maintain high level of consistency over time.
Emotional intelligence by having the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one's own emotions, as well as the emotions of others.

Nice To Haves

Preferred two years of laboratory experience
Preferred Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Chemistry, BioChemistry, and Biology preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioMerieux's Diagnostics’ Quality System.
Maintains records in compliance with regulatory requirements, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Relies on instructions and pre-established written guidelines to perform job functions.
Manufactures oligonucleotides according to electronic batch records and WID’s.
Proficient in the use and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation including UV/Vis spectrophotometer, HPLC, liquid handling robots, and DNA synthesizers.
Handles hazardous chemicals in accordance with approved written procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
