The Lab Technician conducts routine laboratory tests to support manufacturing operations. This role involves analyzing and recording test data to monitor and maintain conformity to specifications. Duties are performed in alignment with Test Methods (TM), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Under general supervision, the technician applies acquired job skills to set up lab equipment and instrumentation, perform daily analytical tests, and ensure the precision, accuracy, and quality of work product. Responsibilities also include documenting test results, maintaining laboratory equipment through daily cleaning and consistent with PMs, and ensuring the cleanliness of the work environment and plant. The position requires full knowledge of general job aspects and involves working on semi-routine assignments, with recognition for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Contacts are typically within the department, with occasional interactions outside the organization to obtain or provide information requiring some explanation or interpretation. Higher-level problems may be referred to senior staff or escalated to a supervisor for resolution.
