About The Position

Join Pace® as a Lab Technician in the sample preparation department of our environmental testing laboratory. This is a temporary 3 to 4 month assignment role at our East Longmeadow, MA Lab. You will receive all the necessary training to succeed in your new role and grow an exciting laboratory sciences career at Pace®.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting
• Ability to remain standing for long periods while conducting tests
• Ability to work around strong smells
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves — all provided by Pace®)

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Support our Scientists by preparing water and soil samples prior to analysis
• Follow a variety of established sample preparation procedures
• Work with various solvents and chemicals for the preparation of samples
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases
