About The Position

The Lab Tech will be responsible for cleaning and organizing the lab environment, reporting any lab room problems, keeping a daily log of duties as required, and performing glass washing tasks. The position requires maintaining glassware by cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and distributing it, as well as ordering, receiving, and providing inventory for glassware. The role also involves keeping laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt. Additionally, the Lab Tech will ensure equipment is operating by following instructions and troubleshooting, perform preventive maintenance, and call for repairs when needed. They will maintain daily logs and equipment record books, complete projects by assisting the project team, and participate in meetings. A key aspect of the role is to comply with safety and environmental rules, policies, and procedures, stop at-risk behavior of others and self, and ensure all safety guidelines are strictly followed at all times. Maintaining a clean and orderly environment, taking direction, responding to supervision, and communicating professionally with colleagues and customers are also essential. The position requires the proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools, and other equipment, and the use of proper personal protective equipment.

Requirements

High School diploma / GED - preferred
Experience in aseptic or GMP/regulated manufacturing or equivalent combination of training and experience - preferred
Required to have a valid driver’s license, if driving own vehicle on business time or company vehicle.
May be required to have forklift certification.
Valid laboratory technician license.
Completed all safety, environmental and task training certifications.
Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems
Operation/use of general hand and power tools, instruments, and testing apparatus common to the electronic and instrumentation fields.
Ability to read P&ID's, electrical drawings, blueprints, PLC ladder logic, etc.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
