About The Position

We are currently seeking a Lab Technician to join our team at our Albany location! The role assists in the daily operations of the lab by preparing samples and ensuring safety protocols are followed. This is a full-time onsite position. This role performs lab functions with supervisor assistance, including sample processing, recording data, and maintaining inventory system. Have a strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and a willingness to learn are key attributes required for this role.

Requirements

Lab Technician I: 0-2 years experience, Associates degree required
Lab Technician II: 1-3 years experience, Associates degree required
Lab Technician III: 2-5 years experience, Bachelors degree required
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions
Willingness to learn

Responsibilities

Assist in the receipt and preparation of samples.
Perform basic lab testing under supervision, including sample-receiving, logging, processing, testing, and reporting of results.
Operate equipment for sample processing.
Ensure lab environment is clean and well-maintained, following safety protocols.
Maintain inventory of supplies, reagents, and samples.
Receive and store samples according to standard operating procedure.
Follow detailed instructions for standard laboratory protocols.
Schedule work for self, such that quality results are obtained in a timely fashion with a minimum amount of re-testing.
