Requirements

  • Technical degree or certification in electronics, or related field
  • 3+ years of electronics technician experience.
  • Experience fabricating special test equipment such as custom fixtures low level test harnesses.
  • Experience with power and basic Mechanical hand tools.
  • Experience with soldering & Electrical lab re-work.
  • Experience with prototype and fabrication shop processes.
  • Experience with everyday operations in an ESD electrical test lab Environment.
  • Experience with electrical testing and equipment (Voltmeter, CAN diagnostics…)
  • Experience working with multiple OS systems MAC, Windows, Linux, Debian based OS.
  • Familiarity with automated test equipment such as system DUT architecture and automotive software development tools.
  • Understanding of HV (High Voltage) - LV (Low Voltage) and safety awareness
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced EE Lab environment.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and passionate about getting jobs done.
  • Hands-on approach: Proactively identifies and fills in gaps where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up DUT (Device Under Test) system test benches for functional acceptance testing.
  • Ability to set up and utilize standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes power analyzers, variable power supplies and digital multimeters with no direction.
  • Troubleshoot, root cause and document electronic functional failures.
  • Perform wire harness assembly crimp and pin, soldering / de-soldering, some SMT soldering, etc.
  • Deep Understanding of electrical schematics, drawings and use detailed vehicle harness diagrams.
  • Fabricate special test equipment supporting development and validation testing of automotive electronic components.
  • Basic understanding of networking and routing of system architecture.
  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, Lucid charts, etc.
  • Able to move / lift heavy boxes and equipment.
  • Tasks will include shipping and receiving / packaging etc.
  • Manage and maintain Lab test equipment, asset management and distribution / Inventory control.
