Under limited supervision, conducts in-process and finished product testing on dry and liquid products to determine adherence to established specifications of quality and purity. Understands and continuously works towards learning all production processes in order to assist in providing recommendations to operations to improve product quality. Performs analysis of in-process samples and finished products by the defined SOP’s for all areas. Quality analysis ensures Loadout meets specifications before releasing product for shipment. Documents results of all testing procedures and promptly notifies operations and supervisors of required adjustments to operating procedures. Maintains retained samples of shipped products in order to confirm test results, if necessary. Performs light maintenance and calibration on all department equipment to ensure all instruments are operating accurately. Maintains ongoing records of results and testing procedures by the use of SOP’s. Maintains adequate supplies used for testing procedures, notifies the Quality Department of the need to reorder items, and helps to restock inventory items which arrive weekly. Sustains an adequate amount of chemicals used on daily basis within inventory and prepares chemical solutions on need basis. Maintains a neat and clean working area at all times by washing equipment and contributing to weekly and monthly cleaning list. Works closely with less experienced Laboratory Technicians in the interest of training or problem solving. May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.
