About The Position

Perform laboratory inspections and analyses using detailed standardized procedures; analyze finished products from inventory to ensure compliance with specifications and acceptability for shipments to customers, analyze incoming raw materials to assure compliance with specifications, analyze tank samples to provide and maintain certificate of analysis reports for customers. Confer with manager on products that do not conform to specifications. Prepare reagents and standard solutions required for various analyses. Prepare samples, label and store retain samples of products. Properly dispose of all retain samples. Furnish sales samples of tested materials to authorized customers and prospects. Maintain accurate records in laboratory notebooks including sample origin and identification, analytical data, interpretation of data and final disposition of products analyzed. Enter data into analytical results logbooks. Maintain records necessary for the current file system involving certification sheets and purchasing specifications. Perform routine instrument maintenance and calibration as necessary; inspect, adjust and perform minor instrument repairs involved with a continuous instrument maintenance process; calibrate instruments and appropriate reagents using certified standards in accordance with a continuous calibration process; maintain an inventory of essential consumable instrument parts. Perform related laboratory duties, maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, provide analytical data to authorized parties, and maintain clean, safe and orderly conditions within the laboratory. Maintain current systems for product quality certification and purchasing specifications. Prepare and maintain blend production sheets. Review customer specifications. Perform other duties as directed. Develop, modify, verify, and validate methods. Complies with company, safety and regulatory policies and standards. Attend safety, regulatory, and company training as required. Complies with continuous quality improvements and ISO standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree, or Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
