About The Position

The Lab Technician receives and looks up fabric samples, laminate samples, quartz yarn, and other quartz specialty products in the AS400/I5 system. They conduct physical properties testing on fabric samples, make and test laminates, prepare ballistics shoot packs, and conduct testing on quartz yarn and other quartz specialty products while adhering to all applicable industry test methods and requirements. The Lab Technician will compare test results to applicable industry standards and/or customer specifications and enter the test data into the Labware database system. Additionally, the Lab Technician will assist in various projects, production trials, and data collection.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have good reading, math, and communication skills.
Must have demonstrated personal computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, AS400/I5, and Labware.

Nice To Haves

Four years’ experience in a physical testing laboratory or advanced studies beyond high school and two years’ experience in a testing laboratory or an associate’s degree in a laboratory or material science.
