About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring! Stefanini is looking for an Lab Technician in Southfield, MI 48033. This role involves preparing automotive coatings test panels/parts using automated application equipment, performing equipment metrology/preventative maintenance, and conducting coatings tests. The technician will also be responsible for recording and reporting data, maintaining flexibility with changing priorities, and properly handling hazardous materials. The position requires compliance with safety policies and procedures, running experimental spray trials, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment. Punctuality and timeliness are essential. Requirements

• Hands-on laboratory experience, with automated and manual equipment.
• Recording and reporting of data/results in an industrial or academic setting.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills/aptitude.
• Familiarity with computers and demonstrated proficiency in Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Education verification is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

• 1 to 3 years work experience is preferred.
• Applicant pursuing or holding a science or technical degree is desirable.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills are a strongly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare automotive coatings test panels/parts using automated application equipment.
• Accurately perform equipment metrology/preventative maintenance and coatings tests.
• Appropriately prioritize work and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, assignments and work schedule.
• Properly handle and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Comply with corporate and site safety policies and procedures.
• Run experimental spray trials as assigned, uses scientific methods to log and process data.
• Maintain and adjust mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment in a test lab environment.
• Be punctual/timely in personal attendance.
