About The Position

This role involves conducting performance and safety testing according to laboratory test standards and customer methods. The technician will collect, review, and analyze lab data, resolving any issues before submitting for review. Responsibilities also include identifying problems related to equipment, process, materials, and safety, and consulting with the supervisor on suggested resolutions. The position requires basic knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat, and the ability to perform mathematical calculations. Excellent communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to work both independently and in a group. A key aspect of the role is contributing to a clean and safe laboratory work environment. Specific tasks include measuring candle emissions using an electronic Densitometer and performing mathematical calculations for analysis and reporting.

Requirements

• Basic Knowledge of MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, fractions, percentages and decimals.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a group or work unsupervised.
• Ability and ambition to help create a clean and safe laboratory work environment.
• 0 to 2 years of experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), technical school or college training a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience requiring data collection, reporting, and results analysis a plus.

Responsibilities
