About The Position

You'll play a hands-on role in a laboratory environment, performing testing and quality analysis on finished substrates including non-woven and consumer products. Working from approved standard test methods, you'll help ensure accurate, well-documented results that support the broader research team. You'll report to the Lab Supervisor while being trusted to work independently with minimal oversight.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1–3 years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to frequent change
  • High degree of initiative; able to self-coordinate, collaborate with others, and make sound recommendations
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MTS Criterion Tensile frame instrumentation and MTS Test Suites software strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safely handle and test finished substrates using approved standard test methods
  • Perform basic quality assurance analysis on provided samples
  • Deliver clear, accurate test results to researchers
  • Thoroughly document results in compliance with site requirements
  • Follow all laboratory work instructions and flag potential updates or improvements when relevant
  • Adhere to all safety, conduct, and attendance guidelines
  • Support the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
  • Participate in test method development, validation, and competitive testing pilots
