About The Position
A lab technician within clinic setting is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of collecting, preparing, ordering, and resulting all lab specimens. In this unique setting, daily interactions with a diverse clientele, including hospital staff, physicians, and visitors, are expected.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer, phone, email, and business office equipment knowledge.
- Knowledge of lab guidelines such as CLIA, quality control process tub collection order, dirty/clean, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and time management skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
- This position is safety sensitive.
Nice To Haves
- Technical Diploma: In Phlebotomy, medical laboratory, or other related field preferred.
- One (1) year lab experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of EMR or lab management systems helpful.
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
