About The Position
The Department of Neurology is searching for both a Lab Technician and Lab Specialist to support the laboratory research of Dr. Jaideep Kapur. The Lab Tech/Specialist will characterize mouse models of epilepsy: frontal lobe epilepsy and epilepsy in Alzheimer’s disease models. The selected candidate will perform EEG recordings, drug infusion studies and seizure mapping studies. The successful candidate will assist with ongoing experiments with metabolism and epilepsy.
Requirements
- Lab Technician: Associate’s degree required; may accept equivalent combination of experience, education, certification in lieu of degree.
- Lab Technician: 2+ years of lab experience which may include student experience.
- Lab Specialist: Bachelor’s degree required, may accept combination of experience/education/certification in lieu of degree.
- Lab Specialist: 1+ year of relevant lab experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in clinical neurology and/or neuroscience research is preferred.
