Our field office in Questa, NM is seeking a Lab Technician/Scientist to provide support to our team of senior Chemists and Scientists. Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related field
Experience and aptitude for working in a lab environment through employment or school
Excellent organizational skills
Good written English skills
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Good problem solving, analytical, and arithmetic skills
Positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and proven time management skills
Self-starter, flexible, team player, willing & able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Conducting simple wet chemistry tests on environmental samples
Performing organic solvent extractions on groundwater and soil
Assisting in the setup of treatability studies
Assisting office staff in related work tasks and local field sampling programs as needed (training provided)
Assist in the general maintenance of the laboratory
