About The Position

Together with our 11 local Member cooperatives, we generate and transmit reliable, affordable electricity to the communities we proudly call home. The Lab Technician is a field-based, operations-oriented role responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, and maintenance of plant water, wastewater, and chemical treatment systems across multiple generating facilities. This position performs both field and laboratory work, requiring regular work outdoors, in industrial environments, and around operating equipment. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining reverse osmosis, cooling water, potable water, and wastewater treatment systems; performing routine inspections and hands-on maintenance; troubleshooting process upsets; and executing chemical sampling and analysis to support system reliability, environmental compliance, and overall plant performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Chemical Engineering (ABET Accredited Institution)
  • Bachelor's Degree Chemistry
  • Bachelor's Degree Biochemistry
  • Associate's Degree Science
  • None Required Plus Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years of Laboratory and Process Analysis Experience Plus Associate's Degree
  • Successfully pass a security sensitive background screening
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Must have or must be able to become forklift certified
