As a Lab Technician II – Histology, you will play an essential role in delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic results by ensuring laboratory specimens are properly received, accessioned, and processed. In this role, you'll investigate and resolve specimen-related issues, perform quality assurance activities, and support daily laboratory operations that directly contribute to exceptional patient care. Working alongside a collaborative team of laboratory professionals, you'll help maintain the highest standards of quality, precision, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. A caregiver in this position works days| 8:00am—4:30pm.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
One year of lab experience

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree (preferably in Science) will substitute for one year of experience

Responsibilities

Receive and accession laboratory specimens into the LIS.
Retrieve, sort, track and deliver specimens.
Perform specimen investigation procedures to resolve lab specimen issues or problems.
Verify accurate documentation relative to specimen processing.
Maintain patient, specimen and tracking data using the laboratory computer system, tracking and software/devices.
Prepare specimens for analysis and accept or reject specimens.
Perform manual processing (centrifuge, aliquoting and routine maintenance).
