About The Position

Performs visual inspection of various commodities including, but not limited to, electromechanical and electrical devices, electronic components, electronic assemblies, aircraft parts and hardware, focusing primarily on Surface Mount Devices. This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Comply with all requirements of International Standard ISO9001 and ISO27001, NIST 800-171, CMMC – Cyber Security and Informational Data Security Requirements.
  • Aerospace Management System Standards AS9100, AS9120, IDEA-QMS-9090, ASA-100 and supporting construct standards AS6081, IDEA-STD-1010, AC7402-CAAP, CCAP-101, FAA AC00-56, ANSI/ESD S20.20.
  • All employees shall commit and comply with the requirements of AS5553 for Counterfeit Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) Parts – Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation and Disposition practices.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills
  • Good arithmetic skills are required
  • Working knowledge of measurement instruments: i.e., calipers, etc.
  • Basic proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Able to pass internal testing and training to meet Industry Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of manufacturing or Quality Inspection Experience is a plus but not required
  • Electronic Component Inspection experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude desired
  • IDEA-ICE-3000 Certified or completed within 6 months of hire.
  • ERAI Intercept Inspector 1 and 2 Training preferred otherwise completed within one year of hire
  • IPC-610 Training preferred otherwise completed within one year of hire

Responsibilities

  • Understand and complete inspections IAW CTG Procedures and Industry Standards
  • Understand acceptance and rejection criteria for inspection of electronic components/ surface mount devices
  • Complete detailed visual inspection and documentation review of products received into CTG facility
  • Complete all necessary inspection steps for recording acceptance/rejection of items inspected and/or tested
  • Identify nonconformities found during inspection process
  • Communicate, document and report all nonconformities within internal system and with direct supervisor
  • Understand different Industry Standards and Contractual Requirements and how they affect the Inspection Process
  • Conduct work assigned by senior management
  • Evaluate and differentiate between various commodity types
  • Review and validate aviation trace documentation when required
  • Compile and review inspection reports to provide all necessary data regarding product testing and inspection findings
  • Understand and decipher basic Blueprints, Data Sheets, and Technical Sheets
  • Verify products fit, form and function by utilizing appropriate gages to identify conformity
  • Communicate regularly with Manager to ensure that contract and customer deadlines are met.
  • Maintain a professional and organized work area for cleanliness, organization and proper location of product and materials.
  • Support a safe work environment, using safety equipment, ensure safety equipment used in the areas is proper, safe, and used in a productive manner.
  • Awareness of the quality of work being performed and strive to ensure that it meets company standards and expectations.
  • Promote a positive culture and teamwork, motivate self and support others to accomplish important objectives in the work environment.
  • Daily interaction with Manager and staff colleagues contributes actively to achieving company and departmental goals.
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and safety standards.
  • Perform other related duties and personnel backups assigned and contribute to team effort.
