About The Position

Pace is hiring a full-time, onsite Lab Technician 1 for the sample preparation department of its environmental testing laboratory in Melville, New York. The position works Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The technician supports sample preservation, preparation, processing, and maintenance; keeps documentation and databases up to date; and participates in training on laboratory support policies and practices. Training is provided, and the role offers an opportunity to build a career in laboratory sciences and environmental testing. Compensation is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a laboratory or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment when handling samples.
Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including using standard office and laboratory equipment, sitting for extended periods, and occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force and frequently up to 10 pounds of force.
