About The Position

The Lab Technical Specialist provides technical oversight to the Core Laboratory. The role works with the Clinical Laboratory Director and manager to establish technical standards and ensure continuous quality of services.

Requirements

• MT(ASCP) certification or equivalent.
• Four years of medical technologist experience; generalist experience preferred.
• Three years of professional experience demonstrating a progressive leadership background.
• Ability to solve problems, collaborate, multitask, take initiative, and work self-motivated.
• Fundamental computer skills and keyboard familiarity.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Generalist medical technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight to the Core Laboratory.
• Work with the Clinical Laboratory Director and manager to establish technical standards and ensure continuous quality of services.
• Participate in CAP activities and quality-control review.
• Write standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Manage inventory and analyzer maintenance.
• Lead projects and evaluate and validate new equipment.
