Part-Time Lab Tech II - Springdale Lab (Springdale, AR)
About The Position
This position is responsible for performing a variety of analytical, microbiological, and quality system procedures in a Food Safety Laboratory. Precision and accuracy in executing work instructions and collecting data are essential. The individual must maintain ISO records for process control and comply with all quality system and safety requirements. Initial proficiency testing must be successfully completed, with competency verified at least annually thereafter. The team member will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in all applicable work instructions, show growth following training, and be prepared to accept a full-time position if one becomes available.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicable laboratory experience and/or shipping and receiving experience preferred.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications required.
- Experience with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Ability to stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with a meal break.
- Must be physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
