Lab Support Technician
About The Position
Saint Luke’s Mission Farms location is looking for a Phlebotomist, Lab Support Technician to support our lab team. Collects patient samples using best practices for phlebotomy. Documents receipt of patient samples in Lab Information System (LIS) and prepares them for analysis. Shift Details: Monday, Wednesday thru Friday 6:30am to 5pm; or Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5pm; both with rotating Saturdays 8am to 12pm. Collects patient specimens in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards. Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection. Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year Applicable Experience
- Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP) - American Society for Clinical Pathology
