About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Lab Support Tech - Non-Certified. The role involves obtaining and processing specimens from inpatients and outpatients according to CRMC laboratory policy/procedures, ensuring correct sample identification and sufficient sample quantity for laboratory tests. Responsibilities also include registering patients in the computer system and accurately placing orders for reporting and billing of patient test results. The position requires contributing to exceptional patient satisfaction by establishing a compassionate environment through timely responses, open communication, and providing support. Additionally, the role contributes to safety and quality care by relaying information via charting and communicating with team members. The individual will attend meetings, classes, and clinical rotations as determined by the program, communicate clearly with instructors, staff, and patients, and comply with privacy and confidentiality policies related to medical record utilization. A constant state of alertness and safe work practices are expected, along with performing all other assigned duties.
