About The Position
Responsible for day-to-day supervision and operation of an assigned area of the Laboratory. Makes decisions that may affect the department and financial and performance objectives and strategic results. Provides input to manager on budget for area. Immediately supervises employees in assigned area, including responsibility for performance reviews, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Requirements
- Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Generalist OR Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Technician license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Must be able to exercise considerable judgment in the application, evaluation and implementation of new or revised procedures, techniques or practices to work problems
Nice To Haves
- Sufficient experience in all areas of the Laboratory preferred
