About The Position

This role provides day-to-day leadership for ELISA chemistry manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable execution of production activities. The supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily work, supporting technician performance, reinforcing standard work, and maintaining operational discipline in a highly technical, quality-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific discipline
  • 3+ years of manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated production experience, preferably in a regulated or GMP environment.
  • Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) including batch record review, controlled document updates, and equipment management.
  • Experience navigating Quality Management Systems (e.g., nonconformances, CAPAs, change control, RCA, etc.).
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine production issues, escalate concerns appropriately, and follow through on corrective actions.
  • Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, compliance, team development, and continuous improvement.

  • Prior experience leading, training, coordinating, or supervising hourly production or laboratory personnel preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily execution of ELISA chemistry production activities across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Set daily priorities, assign work, and maintain production flow based on schedule requirements and resource availability.
  • Provide direct coaching, feedback, and performance support for chemists, machine operators, and assigned team leads.
  • Ensure adherence to batch records, standard work, controlled procedures, and applicable quality system requirements.
  • Monitor production readiness, including materials, equipment, staffing, training status, and documentation readiness.
  • Escalate constraints, deviations, quality concerns, and safety risks promptly to appropriate partners and leadership.
  • Partner with Quality, Planning, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to support issue resolution and schedule recovery.
  • Track and support performance against key metrics such as schedule adherence, first time right (FTR), scrap, rework, training completion, and labor utilization.
  • Support onboarding and training effectiveness for ELISA manufacturing personnel, including verification of skill readiness.
  • Maintain clean, organized, inspection-ready work areas and reinforce compliance expectations during daily operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve stability, reduce errors, and strengthen execution through continuous improvement activities.
