Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety and specimen handling procedures.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician or Medical Laboratory Assistant.
• Experience working in a clinical or research laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Knowledge of biosafety regulations and infection control practices.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with laboratory staff.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log incoming specimens, verifying patient information and specimen labeling for accuracy.
• Prepare specimens for analysis by performing tasks such as centrifugation, aliquoting, and labeling according to established protocols.
• Maintain specimen storage systems, ensuring proper environmental conditions and organization for easy retrieval.
• Adhere to all safety and quality control procedures to prevent contamination and ensure specimen integrity.
• Document all specimen processing activities accurately in laboratory information systems and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.
