About The Position

This role is responsible for all activities involving sample handling, including receiving, tracking, storage, and disposal. The position requires familiarity with American Petroleum Institute (API) procedures and EPA regulations governing samples, particularly concerning disposal and record maintenance. The individual will prepare reports pertaining to samples and maintain a clean, organized, and safe retain and storage area. Attendance at monthly safety meetings is mandatory, and this is a safety-sensitive position requiring drug and alcohol testing.

Requirements

• Familiarity with American Petroleum Institute (API) procedures and documents.
• Familiarity with EPA regulations governing samples, particularly disposal and record maintenance.
• Ability to prepare reports pertaining to samples.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe retain and storage area.
• Must attend monthly safety meetings.
• Must pass pre-employment, random, and annual drug and alcohol testing (including marijuana testing).

Responsibilities

• Logging in, tracking, correctly storing, and disposing of all samples.
• Familiarity with American Petroleum Institute (API) procedures and documents as they relate to samples.
• Familiarity with EPA regulations governing samples, particularly as they relate to disposal and maintenance of disposal records.
• Carrying out assigned tasks in accordance with the latest industry standards and practices and specific instructions from the Laboratory manager and/or supervisor.
• Preparation of all reports pertaining to samples.
• Keeping the retain and storage area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards at all times.
• Attendance at monthly safety meetings.
