About The Position

As the Lab Research Analyst I, you will play a pivotal role in advancing innovative translational oncology research that has the potential to improve patient outcomes and transform cancer care. Working closely with the Principal Investigator and collaborating with scientists, clinicians, trainees, and institutional partners, you will help drive a dynamic research program focused on HPV-associated malignancies, radiation response, patient-derived models, biomarker development, and clinical specimen-based research. You will join a collaborative environment where scientific curiosity, innovation, and teamwork are valued and where your contributions will directly support discoveries that improve human health.

Advancing innovative translational oncology research

Leading the development and optimization of patient-derived organoid models and related translational platforms
Coordinating integration of molecular profiling, multi-omics data, and functional validation studies
Supporting protocol development and implementation for translational clinical research and biospecimen-based investigations
Facilitating collaboration across laboratory and clinical research programs
Contributing to preparation of grant applications, progress reports, manuscripts, and scientific presentations
Coordinating scientific contributions from multidisciplinary collaborators
Identifying potential funding mechanisms
Communicating complex scientific findings clearly
Providing scientific mentorship and guidance
Developing laboratory training resources and standardized research workflows
Promoting rigorous scientific methods and reproducible research practices
Assisting with development of new laboratory capabilities and research infrastructure
Supporting implementation of collaborative research initiatives
Contributing to strategic planning efforts

Responsibilities

Provide scientific leadership across multiple translational oncology research projects.
Support research efforts focused on HPV-associated cancers, radiation biology, patient-derived organoid platforms, and biomarker discovery.
Participate in experimental design, scientific planning, and prioritization of research activities.
Identify scientific and operational challenges and develop solutions that support successful project outcomes.
Contribute to new translational research opportunities and collaborative scientific initiatives.
Coordinate multidisciplinary research activities involving investigators, clinicians, trainees, computational scientists, and external collaborators.
Develop and maintain project timelines, scientific milestones, and progress reporting tools.
Organize recurring research meetings and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
Promote project management practices that enhance transparency, efficiency, and research reproducibility.
Lead the development and optimization of patient-derived organoid models and related translational platforms.
Coordinate integration of molecular profiling, multi-omics data, and functional validation studies.
Support protocol development and implementation for translational clinical research and biospecimen-based investigations.
Facilitate collaboration across laboratory and clinical research programs to accelerate scientific discovery.
