About The Position

We are seeking an energetic Night Lab Processor with exceptional attention to detail to enhance our team. This position involves working a fast-paced overnight shift. Interpath Laboratory is a family-owned and operated clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory serving communities across Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, and Idaho. With more than 90 locations and over 60 years of steady growth, we are one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading independent laboratories, with plans for continued and strategic expansion into the Midwest. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous laboratory processing experience (preferred, but not required)
  • Previous experience working overnight shifts is highly preferred
  • Strong preference for candidates with a consistent employment history and minimal career gaps
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Strict adherence to laboratory protocols and quality control standards

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process samples efficiently, ensuring turnaround times; maintain specimen integrity and package samples for referral labs; accurately translate physician orders and diagnoses; verify and manage specimen details and perform data entry; assess specimen adequacy with technical assistance if needed; prepare specimens and perform screening procedures accurately.
  • Respond to colleague inquiries and manage instrumentation alarms; print and distribute reports.
  • Follow daily checklists and ensure timely task completion; adapt to covering shifts and locations as needed; handle additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance practices; ensure HIPAA compliance and follow Medicare rules for ABNs; monitor the work environment for safety issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.
