About The Position
Orlando Health is now hiring a Certified Lab Phlebotomist for a PRN position with variable hours and all shifts available. This role is ideal for a certified phlebotomist seeking flexibility and the chance to contribute to exceptional patient care through accurate specimen collection and excellent customer service.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR Certification
- Current Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP, NPA, ASPT, or equivalent accredited program)
- Ability to work flexible hours and various shifts
Responsibilities
- Perform blood specimen collection and phlebotomy procedures
- Insert peripheral IVs
- Coordinate specimen collection for inpatient and outpatient settings
- Assist with patient registration and billing requirements
- Process specimens and maintain laboratory supplies
- Perform bedside testing, including glucose testing
- Support outreach phlebotomy services
- Train staff and maintain quality standards
- Build positive relationships with patients, providers, and team members
