About The Position

The Lab Phlebotomist Lead oversees clerical/LPAA operations, including clerical support of laboratory operations, problem resolution, technical development and procedure implementation. They evaluate and train phlebotomy staff. As applicable for the laboratory section, they perform routine Laboratory clerical procedures, collect patient specimens, accession and distribute specimens and/or blood products, prepare specimens for analysis, and prepare blood products for patients and for blood products.

Requirements

  • High school graduate.
  • 6 months previous laboratory experience clinical or hospital based is required.
  • Must possess or be eligible for national certification in phlebotomy.
  • Certification in CPR is required.
  • Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver'.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of phlebotomy training program (240 hours) preferred.
  • Experience in a Leadership position, preferred.
